We'll be at the Pour House Music Hall in Raleigh this Sunday (April 1st) playing a FREE SHOW with Freak Owls and Total War. Be sure to check out the schedule (and sign up for the mailing list) for regular updates, as we are still booking for the spring and summer!

For awhile now we haven't had any music online that best represents where we are as a band now, but this past Saturday we spent all day in Gismo Studios in Chapel Hill recording demos for five songs, "November Again", "Ache", "13 o'Clock", "This Time Next Year", and a brand new song called "Silver". It had been TWO YEARS since I've been in a studio so this was extremely satisfying. Later this year we plan on recording a full studio album, so these demos are a bit of a teaser of what's to come. We hope you enjoy, and we hope you SHARE THEM! Oh, and you can download them for free.

You've probably noticed we're taking a break from shows this month and working on some new material (and my accordion skills). In the meantime, we have some good news to announce.. I was selected as a finalist in the North Carolina Songwriters Co-op 2011 Song Contest! Katharine and I will compete against 7 other finalists at a live show November 5th at the ArtsCenter in Carrboro, NC. You can visit their website to purchase tickets and come out and support us!

This Saturday is the rescheduled Cool Mountain Education Fund Benefit. The event is taking place at the Southern Village Amphitheater in Chapel Hill at 4pm. Spirit Puppets takes the stage first, then Stephen Chandler, then Scarlet Virginia, followed by the Movie on the Green, the new Pirates movie. There will be a raffle and prizes. Think beautiful weather thoughts!!

We are so very excited to playing the Cat's Cradle for the Carrboro Music Festival, September 25th. This is a FREE festival and so many AWESOME local bands are playing. If you're in the area there is no better way to spend this Sunday. We go on at the Cat's Cradle at 3:30pm, then we're enjoying music for the rest of the day! See you then!

You might remember a few weeks ago when our big benefit show was hurricaned on and we had to move it inside to a mini house concert. It did turn out to be awesome anyway, but the official benefit show has been rescheduled for Saturday October 1st! Check out the event on FB for more details...
